Virginia Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 I was watching a crime program that featured the teen aged girl murders in the movie "Heavenly Creatures," starring Kate Winslet. I remember hearing that it was based off a real murder. What I found REALLY interesting was that one of the teenaged killer's went on to become a real life murder mystery author. Her pen name its Ann Perry. Her given name is Juliet Marion Hulme. Totally fascinating! Here is a list of her books. http://www.anneperry.co.uk/miscellany/title-list/ Quote
bobblybear Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Yeah, she's a very well known author; my library has loads of her books, but I've always felt a bit hesitant about reading them, because of the author's background. It freaks me out a bit. Heavenly Creatures was a great movie though. Quote
Virginia Posted August 1, 2016 Author Posted August 1, 2016 I know what you mean. Its like I read the murder scenes and wonder... BUT I just read Dorchester Tower and found it a good read so I'll read more. Quote
pontalba Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I've read several of her books, both series, and somehow they always left me a bit.....I don't know. Off somehow. I wanted to like them, but there was always something missing for me. I didn't find out about her past until I'd already read several of hers. I'm not sure how I feel about that....a bit creepy I think. Quote
