Raven Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 In a surprise move (well, for me, anyway), Stiletto, book 2 of The Checquy Files by Daniel O'Malley (and sequel to The Rook) is now available as a Kindle download from Amazon. Quote
pontalba Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Oh, neat! It's not coming out over here 'till June 14th. Quote
Raven Posted May 27, 2016 Author Posted May 27, 2016 I checked this again this morning and it is now listing as June 2nd on Kindle, June 16th for the large format paperback and December 1st for the mass market paperback. I'll have to check the e-mail I received last night as I'm sure it said available now... Quote
Raven Posted May 27, 2016 Author Posted May 27, 2016 I really enjoyed it for the most part, but felt that the end was a little weak. Spoiler free review here. I suspect you might enjoy it. Quote
pontalba Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I'm assuming then that The Rook is good?? I enjoyed it a lot. The premise was quite interesting, and the way the main character dealt with it was well done. Quote

Michelle Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Thank you - that does sound rather interesting. Quote
Little Pixie Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 (edited) I`ve Kimpled The Rook - it sounds fascinating. Thanks for the heads-up. Edited June 20, 2016 by Little Pixie Quote
Talisman Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 It will be interesting to see how they do this - especially the Gestalt character. As to whether it really will be available on a TV near me that depends on which network picks it up. Quote
Raven Posted August 10, 2017 Author Posted August 10, 2017 When I said TV, I meant it in a generic term. I suspect this will end up on Netflix, or similar, in the UK. Quote
Raven Posted July 1, 2019 Author Posted July 1, 2019 Well, the first episode of the Starz TV series went out in the US last night, but I haven't heard if/when/where it will be shown in the UK (Amazon Prime is a possibility as that is showing it in other territories). Having seen the trailer I'm not convinced, but I'll certainly give it a go. Quote
