supergran71 Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Michael Parkinson is back tonight for his absolutely last series, finishes at Christmas I believe. We always watch, but its not so good as when it was on BBC Quote
Kell Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I've never enjoyed Parkinson as a chat-show host. Everyone went on and on about Meg Ryan giving one-word answers in her interview with him, but he was stupidly asking closed, yes/no questions! If he'd been doing his job properly, he would have been asking open questions and she might have answered him properly! I get the feeling she was making a point on that occasion... Quote
happyanddandy Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Its ok but his guests are mostly his old mates who have been on numerous times - yawn!! Quote
Liz Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I'm looking forward to tonight's programme as Michael Palin is supposed to be on. My mother has always watched it, so I don't mind watching Parkinson. I think it will be a shame when the series finishes. I'm dreading to see who ITV are going to get to 'replace' him. Quote
supergran71 Posted September 30, 2007 Author Posted September 30, 2007 Wow did you see Colin Firth on Parkinson last night. Wasnt he something and what a lovely person he seemed. I also enjoyed Harry Connick Jnr, another lovely man. But what happened to Martin Clunes who was billed to appear. I cant remember the name of the jerk they had on in place of him, least said soonest mended. Quote
jewell Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 I do to. I know that chat shows aren't as popular as they used to be, but as far as i'm concerned, they only need one. If they could just find someone as good at interviewing as Parky. Quote
