Jeven Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Hello. Does anyone have any books about Operation Barbarossa that discuss the consequences of Hitler's decision to delay the attack on Moscow in World War II? Also if possible, have the book share different historians perspectives on the matter. Thank you. Quote
woolf woolf Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Is it a controversial topic? In the series "The World at War" they say it was because a yugoslavian revolution force aroused by the UK forced Hitler to suspend the invasion in order to supress them. Quote

I don't think it had anything to do with a yugoslavian revolution force aroused by the UK. It was simple a decision made by Hitler and was one of the biggest mistakes of the war for Germany Quote
Raven Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Stalingrad, by Antony Beevor, may have some insights into this, but (obviously, given the name) it focuses on the siege of Stalingrad rather than the wider conflict. Quote
