chesilbeach
I saw heartbreaking photos of the flood damage caused to The Book Case bookshop, with all of their stock having to be binned after being submerged in the floods, but heartwarming to see the book industry rallying around to help. Hayley
Oh dear, that's terrible It is good to see the support from authors though and it looks like the ebay auctions are doing really well, hopefully the shop (and the comic book shop) can rebuild soon! chaliepud
What a lovely thought, I hope they can raise enough to help the shop reopen again. It's awful that the businesses are unable to get flood insurance, usually you can get any sort of insurance if you are willing to pay the premiums. I don't think I would risk a business there now and I eonder if some of the businesses will think the same.
Athena
So terrible it got flooded . It's very nice though that the authors help, I think that is a great gesture.
