Kylie Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Tom Keneally and his daughter, Meg, have secured a three-book deal, with plans for 12 in total. Article here. "The crime-solving pair are Monsarrat, a Huguenot gentleman convict and clerk to the commandant of the Port Macquarie penal station in 1825, and Mrs Mulrooney, the commandant's Irish Catholic cook." Sounds interesting! Quote
Marie H Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 That's sounds good! I have a couple of his books (unread, naturally ) but I first read one of Keneally's short story/article in Granta magazine. Quote
chesilbeach Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I love the idea that he will be mentoring his daughter. I remember a listening to him interviews on ABC's The Book Show (I miss that podcast ) and on the BBC's Open Book and he was a very interesting person to listen to … some authors can be a bit dry and fusty, but he was very engaging. I might try these when they come out. Quote
