chesilbeach Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Although not related to the short story, there is an item of also news today saying that Arthur Conan Doyle was the victim of a police conspiracy with evidence that Staffordshire police fabricated letters to the Sherlock Holmes creator being revealed at auction. If you've read Arthur & George by Julian Barnes about the real life case that Conan Doyle became involved in (and I'd recommend it as a fascinating book if you haven't read it ), it'll certainly be of interest to you.
