chesilbeach
Who's the scariest character ever created in literature - the one you definitely would not want to meet late at night in a dark alley?

emelee
Can I say Big brother from 1984? I think the scariest is when you don't know the treat, you can't see the threat, but the threat is watching your every step and you can't escape. I'd rather know what I am up against. frankie
Annie Wilkes (from Misery), Norman Daniels (Rose Madder)...
Spooker
I'd say Alex from A Clockwork Orange, and, as mentioned above, Big Brother from 1984. Although I love horror and hauntings, it is the most realistic villains that terrify me most.
RobertSouthard
For me it is "Nurse Ratched" from "One Flew Over a Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey". This is the character i don't want meet ever even in day time.
