RobertSouthard
It's not pointless if you want to read books maximum time, then it is in your interest, even me too like to read book maximum time in a day. I can avoid movies, social networking site's, but not to read books.

Kylie
Hahaha. Very true! But do you ever find that people are less willing to buy you books because they think you already 'have enough'? I rarely receive books as gifts for that very reason.
chesilbeach
I think it's more that they know I have read so many, they don't want to buy me something I already have or have already read. When they ask me for some suggestions, most people are happy buy me books.
Kylie
Lucky you! I think my family figures that I have so many books that any they give me will just get 'lost' among the rest and that I'll never read it. I did specifically request books from my partner and brother this year, so I'll see how I go.
chesilbeach
You'd think they'd be glad of an easy shopping trip, wouldn't you? I always try to buy people something they would like, so if I know they like something - like books - it's a no brainer for me!
Athena
My family doesn't often give me books that I didn't ask for, because they don't know what I have. My boyfriend gives me books sometimes for my birthday, which I really like (though a few times they were books I already had) . The past few years I've got books from my parents that I ordered for myself but then gave to them. Generally I prefer to give people a specific list so I know I'll get something I don't have yet (though I'm always happy when my boyfriend buys me a good book that I didn't know about), I don't like getting the exact same copy / edition of a book I already own in that edition. bobblybear
^ True, but I don't think I'm at risk of that happening any time soon.
