The Yellow Wallpaper is a very harrowing read, isn't it? For such a short story, it has certainly stuck in my mind in the couple of years since I read it. I really want to read her autobiography.

I have finished Nicholas Nickleby! This also means I have just completed my goal of 60 books for the year (with 4 days to spare!) and my goal of 11 1001 books :)

Quite pleased with 2014's reading. I've enjoyed the majority of what I've read, achieved my goals and ticked off a few doorstoppers. Not bad, like.

I have acquired a few books in the last few days....

The Establishment by Owen Jones

The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach

The Pearl that Broke its Shell by Nadia Hashimi

Seven Deadly Sins by David Walsh

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S Thompson

Fear and Loathing in La Liga by Sid Lowe

Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith

Stardust by Neil Gaiman

Well done on 60 books. I look forward to seeing what you think about Sid Lowe's book as I like his articles but I'm yet to read one of his books.

Snap!

Well done on the sixty.  Particularly gratifying if you've got some big 'uns in there too.

Thanks guys :) pretty pleased with the total, but even more because I enjoyed most of them!

Brian - I'm the same, enjoy Lowe's articles and this will be my first book experience. Hope it's a good un! Will let you know when I get there.

Need to make my new log but I'm abroad now and on the phone, so will have to wait until I get home with a laptop and ease of multiple windows :D
