I was reading through the old posts, and LOL at Janet's Railway Children :D:empathy:

I honestly thought it was going to be an easy one!  :giggle:

Heating and water (temporarily) restored.   We need some major work doing in our en suite, but at least we have warmth and water!

:D Sorry, I've never read the book! But it's on my wishlist, it was mentioned in a chick lit book I read this year (a book about a book shop and dogs and books and love and such. Great book! :D).

Sorry, I've missed this! :o I'm sorry to hear you were without those basic comforts, but I'm happy you now have them back. I hope the work gets done quickly and easily :friends3:

I only posted vaguely about it in here.  I jumped in the shower yesterday and turned the tap on... and it came off in my hand!  We had to switch the water off at the mains and couldn't get anything to stop the leak - so the water remained off, meaning no heating either!  It's back on now, thankfully.  :)

Ok here is a quote:

"Will nodded toward Hadrian. 'Look at the swords he's carrying. A man wearing one-maybe he knows how to use it, maybe not. A man carries two-he probably don't know nothing about swords, but he wants you to think he dose. But a man carrying three swords-that's a lot of weight. No one' gonna haul that much steel around unless he makes a living using them.' Hadrian drew two swords from his sides in a single elegant motion. He flipped one around, letting it spin against he palm once.'Need to get a new grip on this one it's starting to fray again.' He looked at Will. 'Shall we get on with this? I believe you were about to rob us.'"

It's bound to be one of Michael J Sullivan's Ryria books, so I'll try the first one, Theft of Swords.

Right . . .

'I must be overtired,' ********* managed. 'The excitement and all.'
'Rest then', her mother cautioned. 'Terrible things can happen when you're overtired. I was overtired the night your father proposed.'

˝It´s really so difficult to begin to explain how it all happened, to explain what happened; it all became so snarled up and confused, so fraught with non-essential matters....˝

I´m sorry I kept you waiting for so long. ;D

Doesn't sound familiar... But sounds good! :D

No worries, life sometimes gets in the way :)

Is it by a female author?

Edit: No, wait, I'm going to try: The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snickett?
