The books could be written in 1920 or so, if it was popular in the 40's.For some specifications, I need romantic and/or drama books from that period, that were popular.Just a few titles and author could help me out.If you have any source of information, that would be greatly appriciated!Thank you for advance! J.B Priestly books were popular in the 1920s to 1940s Angel Pavement is the title of one very popular book , also An Inspector Calls. Evelyn Waugh is another author [male writer] Vile Bodies being I think an early book.Somerset Maughn was also read a lot back then, The Razors Edge is one of his best.I think however, that you would be better off just googling 'best selling authors in the 1940s' that should bring up a load of titles for you.
