Michelle
From the Transworld blog.. We are so excited to have launched the first ever official Discworld app today! A project that has been in the creative works for as long as we can even remember, the hard-working Terry Pratchett app team have created a one-of-a-kind living, breathing map of an entire fantasy city! Described by the wonderful creator of the Discworld himself, Terry Pratchett, as “The definitive app for anyone who wants Ankh-Morpork at their fingertips. Just remember to wash your hands afterwards!” This fantastic app contains over 2,000 locations and landmarks, all of which are highlighted on two beautifully illustrated maps. The Discworld app has many exciting features that can be enjoyed by iPad users far and wide, such as: Two beautifully hand-drawn maps of Ankh-Morpork – with over 1,500 residents wandering the streets and a detailed street map. Information on over 2,000 businesses, services and landmarks, with illustrations and quotes from the novels. A newly created dynamic panning soundscape that matches the atmosphere of a city at work. Animated Discworld characters to discover as they walk the city’s streets. A fully searchable city directory and street index. Guided walking tours of famous landmarks, narrated by Blackadder’s Helen Atkinson-Wood. Achievement tracking in Game Center which can be shared through social media. Features all the text from the book The Compleat Ankh-Morpork plus exclusive new illustrations, animations, audio and video The bad news is that it's a £9.99 app. So, something for dedicated fans only, or do you think many will download? Will you?
Hayley
I'm so incredibly sad that this is only on iPad and apparently not compatible with iPhone! Although, maybe it's for the best, since I am trying to save money at the moment... Hoping that in a few months they might create a version for iPhone, and hopefully I will be able to afford it! Michelle
I would imagine it's too detailed for a smaller screen.

Kylie
It looks awesome. I received an iTunes voucher for Christmas that I haven't used yet, and this looks special enough to buy. Thanks for telling us about it, Michelle!
Athena
This sounds quite good. I don't own an Ipad myself but if I had one I might be interested in this, I love the Discworld books.
