Inver Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 For those who like something set in either of the World Wars this may appeal. If you have read Birdsong it has a similar sort of theme, but stands on its own. I thoroughly enjoyed it and is a new author for me. It was a bookring via Bookcrossing and so glad I signed up for this one. Review here Quote
SueK Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I picked up this book in Oxfam for a few pounds recently and am ready to start it soon. Thanks for the review Inver, it looks a good read. It's sounds right up my street. Thanks. Quote
Inver Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 Oh I do hope you enjoy it Sue...as I said slow start but then it picked up so don't give up on it. Quote
Lumo Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I have been wondering about reading this one. I'm now more motivated to give it a go :-) Quote
SueK Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 I've actually made a start on this now. So far so good. I'll let you know how I get on with it. Quote
SueK Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 As you say, Inver, it is a bit slow to get going but I'm enjoying it. Hopefully I can have a good stab at it over the weekend. Quote
