Book Recommendation Wanted!

Hi there,

 

I really want to start reading a book/series which involves multiple characters and plot-lines which are all inter-connected, sort of like a book version of Lost/Heroes, though not necessarily with the science fiction aspect. Does anyone have anything good to recommend?

You could do worse than to try A Game of Thrones (and the rest of the A Song of Ice and Fire series) by George RR Martin.
