marypaixao
A list of books you've read, coded by language and format! Mary, I think you're going to fit right in here .... hahaahhahaha thank you very much! ^^ Welcome Mary Can I ask what you thought of Ape House, by Sara Gruen? I really loved Water For Elephants, and have almost bought Ape House on a few occasions. Thank you! Well, Ape House was my first Sara Gruen's book, so it was surprising. I liked her writing and her story's development very much. It has two different characters and perspectives and my only complaint about the book was that I thought the characters would have more time together, as a team, working on the same objective. It's moving sometimes and has a big social criticism. I gave a 4-stars rating (:

Alexi
Hi Mary, loving the list coordination!! Is there a particular Brazilian author that has been translated to English you'd recommend? I'm doing a round the world challenge and it's nice to get recommendations from people in the country itself

chesilbeach
I'm a huge fan of Meg Cabot too! I've read most of her YA and adult books, but I'm waiting for some of her more recent books to be published in the UK. The publishers published the second in a series over here without having released the first one, which was really irritating

I've read most of her YA and adult books, but I'm waiting for some of her more recent books to be published in the UK. chesilbeach
They released Overbite before publishing Insatiable, which was really frustrating, but it's out in about a months time, so hopefully I'll be reading both in the not too distant future. Both of them, actually, are on my favorite list! =o) I saw Marina's English version on amazon, but I don't know if it's a US or UK version =\ I LOVE all Zafón's books - including this one! marypaixao
Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare is fantastic! Have you read her Mortal Instruments series? I've read Mortal Instruments's City of Bones, City of Ashes and City of Glass. City of Fallen Angels and City of Lost Souls hadn't been published here yet. But sincerely, I'm not a great fan of this series. I think it's just okay. Clary got on my nerves on City of Glass, I really hated her. A lot of people has been telling me The Infernal Devices series is better, but I'm not expectant.
chesilbeach
I would say that I like the Mortal Instruments series and I'm happy to read them, but Clockwork Angel was much, much better. I absolutely loved the Victorian setting, and I couldn't put it down once I'd started it.

marypaixao
Just finished The Selection by Kiera Cass and it surprised me. I loved how strong the main character is and I loved the love triangle! I read some reviews on goodreads and some people didn't like it at all! For me, it's almost a favorite! I SO want to read the second book asap!
