  1. Hurray for all the good books ! It`s such a good feeling to discover an `enthusiasm` ; I got into `real people memoirs` * comparatively recently and it`s good to explore new stuff. :)

    * As opposed to some politician`s memoirs = aren`t I wonderful. :rolleyes:

Yay!! I hope you are able to read plenty more books before your Kindle Unlimited expires :).

Gaia, you read lots ! :D

Lau Lou, congrats on finishing your Bronte book. :)

I`m now on Book 5 of David Handler`s Stewart Hoag series. :)

  3. I started read-a-thoning last night ; I read the last 15% of EE Holmes` Portraits of the Forsaken ( excellent :D  ) , the last 60% of David Handler`s The Man who Dies Laughing ( pretty good ), and the first 40% of the second David Handler/ Stewart Hoagy mysteries, The Man who lived by Night. :)

I have a month left of my Kindle Unlimited thingy, so I`m hoping to cram lots of books in. :D

Asterix books are brilliant. I used to arm myself with my Dad's Latin translation dictionary which made them even funnier.  The English translation from the original French is very clever. Must be a real challenge with plays on words etc

Another vote for Asterix, by toutatis... :D

There are 22 full novels that have now been translated and published in English.  Three others remain in Italian only.  There's also a couple of shorter stories translated as well (Montalbano's First Case, and The Fourth Secret).  A Voice in the Night was first published in Italy in 2012.  When it was written is a different matter!

Considering Andrea Camilleri`s in his 90`s, his work ethic is still extraordinary. :)

What?! Someone must have messed up . A Voice in the Night sounds quite good though, so I'm going to see about adding the first Inspector Montalbano book to my wishlist.

The first one is The Shape of Water and it`s 99p here atm. ;)  A Voice in the Night sounds good ; I`m up to around book...13 ? So I`m a few books behind. :)

They're also repeating Outlander on More 4, very late though!  But at least it means they'll be showing the second series.

It was only by chance that I saw Timeless was starting again, as it hasn't been publicised at all.

I haven`t decided if I`ll watch Outlander S2 - I may see how many other things I `have` to watch at the time. :)

I'm a couple of episodes behind but I've been catching up with Timeless, after a slow start it's picked up now - just watched the Salem Witches episode.

Enjoyed the first episode of the new series of The Bridge, although a catch-up would have been useful.  Luckily a work colleague only got round to watching the last episode of the previous series a few weeks ago, so she updated me on how it finished.

Not much else on at the moment.  Innocent is quite good and The Split finally perked up a bit last night.

I completely forgot about Timeless. I`ll have to catch up when they do repeats. :)

I love the cover of 'A Hiss Before Dying'  very cute.

Wish You Were Here ( Book 1 in the Mrs Murphy series ) - the books have sweet illustrations too, if you take a peek at the excerpt.

These are great, I would love to have room for that many books! They all seem to have incredibly high ceilings though

That site has lots of good storage ideas ; I saw one suggestion of storing books in the `knee space` under a desk, which did make me realise that I very rarely sit at my desk and could probably squirrel away quite a few books that way. :)
