Forgive me for my stupid question, but are the dexter books by Jeff Lindsay at all related to the tv show dexter?
The show is inspired and by the books and the first season is based on the first book. Check out this page for all your Dexter needs...

I enjoyed that book a lot. I have the sequel on the shelf, but it's so long since I read TPM that I might have to re-read it first to remind myself what was going on . . .
I am enjoying it so far, I wouldn't call it particularly sophisticated but it is an original take on a well used genre. I bought The Desert Spear for £1.99 on Kindle

Bad Santa. Hilarious film!

Rose Madder is a bit of a slog so I started reading The Painted Man by Peter V. Brett on my Kindle.
Also for Christmas I got The Colour of Magic by Terry Pratchett,
The First Chronicles of Druss the Legend by David Gemmell
Dexter is Delicious by Jeff Lindsay

That's an awesome collection Steve! I have the H.G. Wells collections and I love 'em. Great presents

Tonight there's A Christmas Carol waiting for me on my desk. It's a sort of tradition between me an my old friend Charles for Xmas Eves.
Started reading that as well today, haven't read any Dickens before.
-
Started to read Moonraker by Ian Fleming this morning.
Hope you enjoy it! So much better than the film.
-
I think it's a brilliant movie. The sequels, however, are total pants
Couldn't agree more!

yay, glad it's working now! I'm not alone on there any more. Hope you all get some good use out of it

Half way through series two and it just stepped a gear! really great stuff, starting to get addicted

My daughter's future mother in law has been stocking up tins of food in her larder - it's absolutely stocked floor to ceiling. If the world ended what would happen to the tins and, more importantly, did she remember the tin opener
This sort of thing makes me laugh the most, people have seen way too many apocalyptic films. The end of the world wouldn't really mean everything but her and her larder. It would mean everything!

from the home page, next to 'your next books' click 'view all/organise'. That is my go to page, will show the next book of all your series in which ever order you choose.

Night Dawn series, gates of fire, looking at the forever war series, added mistborn series and the belgariad. Phew!
All good choices!

Oh, yes, that helps, thanks Tim! Even though I had followed all my series, it only showed Stackhouse because that series was the only one I had marked as read etc. Once I finish going through all the series' and marking which ones I've read, they'll all show on my profile.
It's so easy to use (once I know what I'm doing
). You just click 'mark as read' next to the first book of the series and it switches automatically to the next book so you can do the same thing. You don't have to go into each individual book page to make changes. I love it.
Thanks again for bringing the website to our attention, Tim.
No worries, that is exactly why I love it, it is so simply, not complicated with tonnes of different options and reviews etc, it doesn't try to sell you things at every turn. I still have a majority of my books at my parents house and have to go and pick up some more every so often so FictFact is great for a quick reference to make sure I get the correct ones.

I've joined as KylieL. I 'followed' a whole bunch of series, but when I click on 'My series', it only shows one (Sookie Stackhouse). When I click on 'View my next books', it shows books from all the series' I've I've followed, so I know they've been added. Does anyone know how I can get them all to show in the 'My series' list?
I think it only shows you the next book in your series, so if you have read the first one for example, click view all/organise on your profile page and click read on which ever ones you have read and the next one should automatically appear. You can also re-arrange them to any order by clicking and dragging. Then on your profile it will show the next 10 books of the series you placed at the top.
To view a whole series just click on the link, or to view all series by a certain author click on their name.
Hope that helps.

I think I have added four new series to my lists, and one or two new books! You're a bad influance Timstar - but in a good way
Not added to the list on here yet though.

I wonder where this myth actually came from... even the Mayan calender doesn't predict the end of the world.
-
No one has updated this in a while, season 3 has been amazing! best so far without a doubt, just another agonizing wait until February.
What did everyone else think?
-
23... for now.
-
Well Sod's law means that it would be a Friday! and just before lunch as well. I, for one, will be displeased.
Though anyone who actually believes it has bigger issues then the end of the world. The Mayans are celebrating today, it is the start of their new 144,000 day calender (every 394.5 years).

I may have also just bought the Night's Dawn trilogy... two of which were signed as well
-
Following you, but I can't see your books because your account is private? It's ok if you want to keep it private, I just wasn't sure if you knew or not.
I didn't know! It is now public, thanks for letting me know
-
I'm Devi on the site, if you would like to follow me!
following, I'm Timstar.
Also if you know of an obscure series that isn't on there you can request it added, I did that with The Phoenix Conspiracy and it was added the next day
-
Sorry to hear about Forever Peace, Tim. Do you think you'll finish it at any stage?
Doubtful, I have so many other Sci-Fi's to read atm.
-
Hmm, i might consider this for my book series, I do have a lot of them!
Go for it! It is especially good for non-linear series such as Sharpe and James Bond etc.

I certainly bought them and boasted about them... whether I was the first or not i'm not sure.
