  1. I'm really not enjoying 'Something Dangerous' by Penny Vincenzi, but feel guilty for abandoning it. Does a 100 pages rule apply in this case or do I continue until the end?

      My mantra of recent years is "life's too short to read books you aren't enjoying". Unless it's for a purpose (like my current Book Club read which is dull in the extreme!) I'd definitely give up and move on! :)

      You're right Janet! I just got so fed up with the characters in it, they are so spoilt! So I've put that down and picked a book that I might actually enjoy.

      I am getting more like that now. I always used to finish books regardless of not enjoying them just incase I miseed something, but if recommended I would carry on.
