  2. I finished this book today, and enjoyed every moment, it is the 4th book in the Simon Serrailler series, it is well written, nice length chapters, Simon is a typical English Detective, just the type of book I enjoy, enough violence, no bad language, it just had a bit of everything, and you could relate to the characters quite easily.

  3. I Have Porridge for breakfast 12 months of the year :D , why - it is healthy, low release energy - good for my diet - and I don't get hungry/peckish during the morning.

I wouldn't have anything different - I like it and happy with it

Time isn't an issue 3mins in microwave - done

I don't really have a favourite breakfast if we go away to B and B nice to have English fry up for a change.

Well I read at table of course.

On waking I have an hot chocolate and with breakfast I have my daily dose of vitamin C and some orange juice

  4. In 2001 we had a serious house fire, we claimed £10.000 on books, insurance company came to have a look as they didn't believe us, after visiting they said we had probably seriously underestimated :D

I had a huge TBR shelf, but gradually got through them by being strict and not buying anymore and when I read them donated them to charity shops (that was so hard), I am addicted to second hand book shops and stalls.

In 2010 we downsized and didn't have so much space I started using our local library, what a shock no stamps anymore all self service and scanning of books.

I do wish there was a bigger choice, and in October the hours are being cut, to save money :( but overall it is not too bad.

  5. This is a favourite type of book of mine however I am not keen on Medieval Books so I didn't get on with Brother Cadfael, I just don't seem to relate to them, I am intrigued by Martin Edwards Lake District books, only recently came across the name, not read any yet, but I have high hopes when I get roundtuit, as I love the Lake District.

  6. Well I guess last night left me confused.com, Mel and River are the same person, River is Amy and Rorys daughter but older than they are, hey this is Dr Who anything goes. However my granddaughter Sophie had fishfingers and custard for lunch  yes honestly

  7. My name is Dawn and I live in North West Norfolk, UK. I love living here right by the sea, seeing spectacular sunsets over the sea. I am director in the family business of footwear retail, that my Grandad started in 1938.

I have been a bookworm as long as I remember being taught to read by my Grandad before I went to school, I was raised on Narnia, Famous Five, Anne of Green Gables, leading onto the Hobbit.

I am new to forums, so I will try and pluck up courage to post and see how it goes, always fancied joining a reading group, but work commitments make it difficult (round here they are usually in the daytime)

My favourite genre is Crime/Mysteries my preference being British Authors/set in the UK.

I am currently reading The Vows of Silence by Susan Hill, a Simon Serrailler Novel and am thoroughly enjoying it.
