Thanks Karsa, I really appreciate your recommendations and reviews. You have directed me to some of my favourite reads and will definitely give this chap a go. A family member of mine loves fantasy and speaks very highly of Legend, I have so many books to read, so little time.

Hi Michelle, Apart from the ones that you have mentioned above (awesome by the way) I enjoyed The Riftwar Saga by Raymond E Feist, and The First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie. I have heard some great things about Patrick Rothfuss, and apparently his books are styled like Peter V Bretts. I hope this helps, and have a wonderful weekend. Andy

Hi Guys, I have just finished reading the new George RR Martin book and I have had my fill of fantasy books for a while. I have heard a lot about Robert McCammon, and was wondering what book you would recommend that I read first. Thank you so much in advance, Andy

Not only can the man spin a yarn, his got a great sense of humour. Can't recommend him enough. Peter V Brett is another author that I recommend.

For me picking a new book and opening it for the first time, is a thrill that a kindle could not hope to replace, and I should imagine most you guys are similar. Kindle make me sad :'(
