Didn't read for a few days until last night. Am still reading A Clash of Kings and its great only 200ish pages left to go.
-
Not had chance to do much reading this week but am now a third way through 'A clash of kings' and am not disappointed.
-
I'm a 150 pages through 'A clash of kings' now and am really into it. I was worries it wouldn't live up to 'Game of thrones' but so far it has.
-
What do you think of The Narrows?
Not his best work. Found it boring and very predictable. Really expected something more as 'the poet' was great. I'm reading them in order so have ordered 'the closers' I was also disappointed in Terry being killed off the way he was.
-
Finished The Narrows yesterday and then started A Clash Of Kings and am hooked already.
-
Am now about 1/3 of the way through The Narrows and am finding it a bit slow.
-
I've finished 'B is for burglar' and now moved onto 'the narrows' by Michael Connelly.
-
I've read Monkey's Raincoat and have to say it was good but not great. If you're looking for a great Robert Crais book, I recommend L.A Requiem.
For me it was just OK nothing really spectacular. I'll have a look for L.A Requiem though. Thanks.

After spending almost 2 weeks reading The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan I gave up on it last night. I read about 300 pages and just couldn't get into it. It's the first book this year I've not finished.
Now starting B is for Burglar by Sue Grafton
-
Watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall last night and thought in parts it was hilarious.
-
Today I've started on The eye of the World by Robert Jordan. Only a couple of chapters in and it seems OK so far. Have not read any of books before so thought best to start at the beginning. I read Game of Thrones a couple weeks ago and loved it and a friend of mine recommended The Wheel of Time series. Anyone read these?

I'll try and come and chat but my 6 yr old starts cricket club mora and I'll be there cheering him on.

Just finished reading 'the redbreast' and after a struggling to get into I really enjoyed it. Some great twists.
Not sure what to read next but I bought ' the eye of the world' by Robert Jordan and 'Nemisis' by jo Nesbo today at local Market for £2 each
-
I'm still reading 'The Redbreast' am now about 1/3 of the way through it and am finding it hard to keep up with whats going on between the 2 time zones. It's a bit like reading 2 books at once. But am sticking with it.
-
I really liked that one....are you planning to watch the second one?
Forgot to put 2 lol. Have seen them both and loved em both. A 3rd is on its way according to wikipedia
-
Watched Paranormal Activity last night and it was pretty good. Some great scares to get the heart racing
My missus was scared witless
-
Finished 'monkeys raincoat' by Robert Crais last night and have today started 'the redbreast' by Jo Nesbo.
-
Getting back into The Redbreast by Jo Nesbo.
I've got this on my TBR pile. Any good?
I'm 2 thirds through 'Monkeys Raincoat' by Robert Crais and am finding it very predictable but a good easy read all the same.
-
I'm watching Shutter Island right now. Creepy stuff!
I watched it 2 weekends ago and thought it was brilliant. Hope you enjoy it
-
Just finished reading 'Game of Thrones' and it was bl**dy brilliant. What an ending. Still awaiting book 2 to arrive in post so am now going to read 'The Monkeys Raincoat' Robert Crais. Not read him before but it looks good.

It was a golden crunch they soak the tea up like a sponge
I am currently drinking tea, without biscuits.
Mmm yeah golden crunch are a nightmare. Have you tried Biting both ends off of a twix then using it as a straw to suck the tea? It turns to mush and makes loads of mess but taste bloody great
:)

^^
Just this morning I was talking to someone whilst dipping biscuits into my tea and one biscuit got too soggy and dropped off onto my chin as I was shoving it in my mouth so had to do that wiping away whilst pretening I wasn't embarrassed thing
currently treating myself to a pepsi max I haven't had any fizz for nearly a week now
:D
This happens to me often lol I find rich teas the main culprit lol I'm now having a coffee

I'm nearing the end of 'Game of thrones' and hope to finish it tonight or tomorrow. Have just ordered 'A clash of kings' and am waiting for amazon to find out when the series is out on DVD.

I've been wondering about having a go at this series as you all seem to like him.
Which is the first book?
Was this a TV show at some point?
