About Me
I've practiced law for thirty years, having graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Columbia Law School. I began my legal career began on Wall Street, and today I am in-house general counsel to an international transportation company.
Lawyers write for a living, and many people think they write fiction for a living. I decided one day to abandon all pretenses and write something that I could readily admit was completely made up. So now, I write crime fiction. My first novel, SILENT COUNSEL, won critical acclaim. Upon its hardcover release in the US, it appeared for four consecutive weeks on Amazon's list of Bestselling Legal Thrillers behind only two other titles: John Grisham's THE APPEAL and Harper Lee's TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.
I live in New Jersey with my wife and our two dogs and two cats. The dogs were an accident. We went one morning last year to the store to buy bird seed for the feeder, and there was an adoption proceeding outside the store. We came home with Toby and Lily. And forgot the bird seed.
