Hi Sarah,
I seen your post about the Alice in Wonderland book, just wondering if you found any info as I think I have the same book as you and I can't find much info on it either. I was looking to date it, it does have a childs name and 1965 written inside the cover but thats the best I've got.

hi raven I did that they seemed to have started in 1836 before merging with another company in 1964 when they canged there nane then, howevere, I still canot find anything out about alice in wonderland there is information on other books they published ie, noddy and many others just seames that I have hit a brick wall with it. but yet dating men is much more fun lol thanks for the help

hi can anyone help me out in trying to date a book; Alice's adventures in wonderland and through the looking glass; carroll, lewis (abridged edition). this book has no illustrations and was publised by dean and son ltd. it has no date or IBSN No, the only information listed in the book is 'made and printed in great britian by purnell and sons, ltd. Paulton (somerset) and london. I have searched the internet for ages trying to find any information but unfortatly I have come up with nothing. many thanks sarah
