  1. With Shakespeare I believe it's just a case of getting in to, and accustoming yourself with, the writing. It's different, and sometimes difficult to read and understand. I've studied two texts written by Shakespeare, Hamlet and Much Ado About Nothing both of which I really enjoyed. Initially I thought I'd hate Shakespearean texts, but in fact, I rather like them.

A good start indeed. Hopefully Cook can go on to replicate the form he's displayed in the previous innings' in the series so we can beat them by an innings and a bit. Again!* *I'm aware that I'm getting ahead of myself...

  5. I'm rather excited about getting my Kindle for Christmas this year! Having already known I'll be getting one, I've downloaded Kindle for PC and already purchased numerous books and compiling a collection ready to start the year as I mean to go on...
  6. I think that may be the reason why I am particularly excited for the next test! Regarding favourite books and authors: not really. If I'm honest, my interest in 'full-time' reading, so to speak, has only developed over the past year or so, while I've been studying my A Levels. I've been given texts to read for my Literature course, enjoyed them, and then broadened the field in to the wilderness of books. And lots of them. I've not really read too many books from the same author just yet, but no doubt, as time goes on, I will develop a liking to a particular author's style. The two Ian McEwan books I've read, On Chesil Beach and Child in Time, I've enjoyed, so I'd have to say him, for now. My favourite book so far would probably be Jane Eyre. Thanks for the warm welcome, by the way, guys.
  7. Though my display name is Bunce, that is not my name. My names Greg, I'm 18 years of age from Sheffield. Obviously I like to read, but other pass-times I have include playing and watching both football and cricket. Nice to meet you all.
  8. I've recently finished re-reading Jane Eyre, and have now moved on to Moab is my Washpot (Stephen Fry); some light reading to pass the time before I break up for Christmas, when I'm planning on getting through a couple of books.
