Oh I'm too much of a technophobe to manage a kindle, I don't even own a mobile phone
-
I'm only managing to read little bits here & there at the moment of The Forsythe Saga & I'm struggling to remember who's who in it
-
RIP Pete, a great actor who'll be sadly missed.
-
We took thec hildren to the Film Museum in Bradford this morning & I bought 3 wire bookmarks in the shape of hands doing paper, scissors ,stone.
-
I started The Forsythe Saga by John Galsworthy yesterday but only managed 20 pages as I'm busy with the spring cleaning at the moment (I know it's a bit early but if I leave it till spring I might not be bothered to do it).
-
I wouldn't like that, when I start a new book I always look to see how many pages it has so I know where the halfway mark is
-
I didn't manage to make The Cry of the Owl stretch till New Years day I couldn't put it down last night till I'd found out what happened. This is my first book by Patricia Highsmith & I really liked the way she built up the characters & the story, I found it really gripping I plan on reading The Forsythe Saga Volume One by John Galsworthy next but I'm going to wait till New Years Day before I start it so I've got a couple of book free days to get through till then
-
I've heard of Vikor Frankl & this sounds like a book I'd enjoy
-
I'll be interested to hear what you think of The Wizard of Oz Nursenblack I read to my youngest daughter recently:)
-
I'm not sure anymore to be honest I don't dare count them. We bought more bookshelves a few months ago & I've already filled those & I'm back to stacking the books on top & behind the ones on the shelves, my hubby's really good & doesn't moan about it probably because he's just as bad with CDs

I'm over halfway through The Cry of the Owl I'm enjoying it but want to make it last till January so that I can start a new book on the first day of the new year
-
I have that one on my TBR pile, it came free with a magazine I bought awhile ago
-
One of my daughters is a big fan of JW & has read most of her books, I've read Lola Rose & enjoyed it.
-
I loved it & found it compulsive reading I stayed up late one night because I just had to finish it Are her other books as good? I managed to read a few pages of The Cry of the Owl while I stirred the gravy
-

Mirror, Mirror on the wall, Will Vinay read these by next fall? (2010)
Kidsmum replied to vinay87's topic in Past Book Logs
I've never read any Jules Verne before but after reading your review I'm definitely going to look out for his books . -
I would be Catherine Earnshaw from Wuthering Heights because I would love to have the freedom to roam the moors as she did & to love & be loved with such a passion as she shared with Heathcliff appeals to my romantic side
-
I finished An Awfully Big Adventure last night & started Girl with a Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier my mojo is positively zinging at the moment
-
Lucky you they sound like great pressies Happy Christmas!!!
-
I'm sure I have this somewhere in my TBR pile I'll have to burrow into it & see if I can dig it out I've nearly finished An Awfully Big Adventure this is only the second Beryl Bainbridge I've read but I'm really impressed I'll definitely be looking out for more of her stuff.
