  1. the football (again)
  2. almost every morning in the summer when she woke and it was light enough to see, Jenny Harman automatically counted the nineteen red roses on the wallpaper between the door and the old wardrobe in the corner. Lone Pine Five - Malcolm Saville
  3. The Roman Treasure Mystery - Malcolm Saville Synopsis - Lucy woke suddenly, her heart thumping with excitement. something strange - and frightning - was going on. she wriggled out of her sleeping bag, and crept outside the tent. the cottage was clear in the moonlight . . . and standing by the window was a mysterious, shrouded figure clothed all in white. then suddenly Terry started to bark. once again lucy, her brother humf and their friends are caught up in a gripping mystery. the clues point to a buried treasure - but someone wants to stop them from discovering it. and that someone will go to any lengths to do so . . . my thoughts - this book was my mums when she was about ten. id already read all of her secret seven and famous five books when i was younger but these turned up when my grandparents moved house. i enjoyed this book it was like being ten again, very easy to read and a good plot. the only downside was that it didnt seem to have as much plot as the famous five/secret seven books that i enjoyed before and seemed to be over very quickly, but a good easy read. i have another three books by the same author to read.

  8. i can do that in wh smiths, i normally go in and see what books they have and then pop into the little bookshop round the corner and see if they have it, or have a look on amazon.
  9. William Shakespeare - A Midsummer Night's Dream this was the first Shakespeare play that i had read since i studied Hamlet at A level. i was a bit apprehensive as i thought i might struggle a bit, but it was ok. i did have to read a lot slower than i normally do and keep going over some parts of it again though. i did find it confusing with the two girls Hermia and Helena and i kept getting muddled up between the two. a very enjoyable read and i would definitly read more shakespeare again.

  15. Sharon Osborne - Unauthorized, uncensored - understood. My thoughts - this is an unauthorised biography of sharon osborne. i thought that is was very moving considering what she has been through in her life. the cancer, her husband and childrens drug problems. a very good read that i would highly recommend.
