  1. Does buying books and books accessories as well as lending books count, too? But I also managed to read a few pages of "The ice limit" today and probably will continue later tonight.
  2. I read "The Crucifix Killer" by Chris Carter a couple of weeks ago and I think it is a really good thriller. No brand-new plot, but thrilling nonetheless.
  3. I'm going to finish my current book, "Blue moon" by Lori Handeland, tonight. I only have about 70 pages left so that won't take long. Already thinking about what to read next.
  4. Thanks for the warm welcome! @Janet: Thanks for your help with my account. I wasn't able to figure out how to answer to your message. I guess I will have to read and re-read my posts then everytime before submitting them, but thanks.
  5. Every couple of weeks I use the library, but I prefer to buy books because I want to put them on my shelves. I do buy online a lot, mostly at a German shop that sells remainders at very cheap prices. Since the books I buy there often look brand new I can't see why I should buy them at the regular price. But I also do use Amazon or the common bookshops in town.
  6. I'd say that depends on how much time I have, but usually I stay there for quite some time. I was in London a couple of weeks ago and had to stroll through every single bookshop we came across. My friend who was with me is not interested in books that much and when we went to Waterstone's on Oxford Street she sat there about an hour waiting for me. Actually I felt a little sorry for her, but then again she seemed content just sitting there and watching all those book maniacs.
  7. I don't have a special one I always use. Though I have all kinds of different bookmarks I most often use the ones you sometimes get for free when buying books. At least then I don't have to worry about losing them.
  8. Unfortunately, I read a lot of magazines, which can be pretty expensive. I can't stop myself though. I don't have a subscription to any mag, but I regularly buy Runner's World and another sports magazine I am not sure is published in the UK. Sometimes I buy magazines about photography and now and then stuff like InStyle or videogame magazines. Oh, and every couple of weeks I buy my new TV magazine.
  9. A couple of days ago I was looking for an English book forum and landed here. So, first of all, let me apologize for my poor grammar and even poorer punctuation, but since I'm from Germany my English is not the best. Besides books I'm into music, photography and sports. My favorite book is "The Lord of the Rings", though I do have a lot of others I fancy. Now I'm going to have a closer look around here. If there's anything you want to know about me feel free to ask.
