Hello Everyone.
I found this site about a week ago. I'm still trying to find my way around.
I've lived in East Texas most of my life. Recently retired and started reading more about a year ago.
Favorite Books so far:
THE HELP, KATHRYN STOCKETT
THE FORGOTTEN GARDEN, KATE MORTON
THE HOUSE AT RIVERTON, KATE MORTON
THE GUERNSEY LITERARY AND POTATO PEEL PIE SOCIETY, BY
MARY ANN SHAFFER and ANNIE BARROWS
I went to the movies at theater for the first time in years recently.
Saw, AVATAR! Loved it!!
Love to watch reruns of KING of QUEENS. DVD
I look forward to getting to know all of you.

We watched Blind Side last week. Loved it!

I've never heard of haricot beans.
I do love baked beans! I get the Bush brand can beans, and then bake them.

We had NCIS on tonight. I'm watching DVD of King of Queens right now.
Love that show!

I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one who has trouble remembering lots of details of a book.

I recently gave a book away to my sister, but warned her that I did not like it.

I loved House on Riverton and The Forgotten Garden.
Can anyone recommend an author who writes similar stories/books?
I cant wait until Mortons' next book comes out in November.
I should have said The House at Riverton.
Dont see a place to edit.

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie here.
I read ZEITOUN a few months ago. It's a true story about Zeitoun family and what they went through during hurricane Katrina.
It's one of those book that stays with you for days after you finish.
Susie says "hello"!

Stephanie, the Kate Morton books are very long, but I liked them. Just took my time reading.
I have to take short breaks when I'm reading any book usually.
