  1. Well Book Fiend you aint alone, I LOVE MOTOGP! In fact i'm motorsport crazy, i watch and attend all different codes of racing whether it be 2 or 4 wheels. I've just recently returned from Florida where i was at the Daytona 500 - AWESOME. But back to the subject......I hope Rossi wins another championship too, i think Melandri could have a good season now he's back on a Honda but i have a sneaking suspicion that Dani Pedrosa is finally coming of age on a motogp bike and i reckon he's gonna be a serious threat to Rossi and Stoner. As for Lorenzo anything is possible but he's no match for Rossi when it comes to the mind games! The wait now for the start of the season is a killer!

At least there's WSBK this weekend ( just watch Biaggi go this year, that Aprilla is an animal!)

  2. After 26 years in business one of Irelands best bookshop chains is gone into receivership. A sad day indeed, not least for the companies 225 employees. I always found H & H shops a pleasure to visit and in particular the staff especially in my local branch in Dundalk were always very polite, helpful and knowledgeable, and they had a great in-house cafe..... saturday afternoons just won't be the same anymore. Best of luck to the ex-employees in getting sorted out. You will be missed.

  3. I'm such a big fan of the real hustle, and it's on tv tonight :) (BBC - 9pm, have a watch, it's about an elite con group who pull great stunts!) Also, everyone keeps going on about Glee - I haven't seen it yet, is it worth a gander? What's people's views on it? x

My fav programme at the minute (until 24 starts next sun), i must admit i have a wee crush on the lovely Kelly Adams:blush:. Are box sets available of previous seasons?

  4. Cycling and 5-a-side football are the only sports i currently participate in. I used to play Gaelic Football a few years ago.

As a fan i love lots of different sports such as soccer, gaa, all types of motorpsort esp MotoGP and NASCAR, rugby union, boxing ,golf, snooker,tennis....

  5. Valentino Rossi :)

Arguably the greatest motocycle racer ever, but it's his incredible charm and charisma that makes him the best in my opinion (I LOVE him!) Always gracious in defeat as well (some sportsmen could learn a lot from him!)

He's right up there with Ali! Go 46! :D

  6. Hello to you all from the Emerald Isle! This is the first book forum that i've joined so i'm hoping to get some good recs and maybe i can make a few recs of my own. Reading is the one hobby of mine that i've consistently kept up for about the last 20 yrs( i aint no spring chicken:blush:) and i have quite varied tastes when it comes to books. My all time favourite is Stalingrad by Anthony Beevor, a truly vivid, haunting, sad, heroic account of the fabled WW2 battle.

Genre wise i have built up a fair collection of the following:

20th century history, current affairs, true crime, crime fiction, sporting biography/autobiography, travel books.

That's all for now, got some reading to do........
