  1. Happy Birthday xx

  2. Hope you're having a lovely birthday. Best wishes, Coffin Nail.(Lauren) xx

  3. Lol. I was beginning to feel like a **** zoo exhibit!!

  4. Do not feed the animals. They bite!

  5. Glad you approve. Lol. Always brightens the place up does Dylan. Yup, all's well in my world, been playing in my garden in the sunshine, put a bet on the national, and freed a giant bee that got stuck in my sideshow Bob hair. How's things with you?

  6. Thanks Mac, as half of one of my bookshelves is devoted to Calvin and Hobbes yours is a cracker too.

  7. Thanks for the good wishes. I'm sure I'll be fine in a day or so. I finish work tomorrow for two weeks. We haven't got any firm plans, but we are heading up to Scotland for a few days. Hope the weather improves or I'll be ditching the shorts in favour of thermals. Hope all's well with you. Sorry hun, I'll have to cut this short to throw up. Again. Speak soon. xx

  8. Hello flower, it's a small world. I'm really well thanks. You've brought about some lovely memories. The rain has spoiled my weekend plans, and at the mo I've the most awful writers block, that's probably why I'm on the forum so much. I hope the Bury man is a good boyfriend. How are things with you? BTW my name is Lauren x

  9. What's your interview for chuck?

  10. Ooh that'd be a great choice Sarah. I really hope you get it. I'll keep the proverbials crossed and wish you all the luck in the world. Make sure you let us know how you get on.

  11. I know exactly what you mean, but try to keep calm. Lots of deep breaths before you go in. Will be thinking of you x

  12. Hope you've had a lovely birthday. Coffin Nail (Lauren) XX

  13. Hey hun, how's tricks? I am indeed luvverlee and well, fab day whiling away the hours, conferring with the flowers. What are you doing while the rest of the country watches the match? X

  14. How are you doing? Hope you and your family are ok under the circumstancesx Lauren

  15. Aww I'm sorry to hear that Sarah. But you sound ok with it. It must mean that there's a better job out there for you. It's their loss.

I went to a horrible interview last year. There was an internal candidate for the job and people kept looking in to wish her good luck all the time. More than a little off putting. She was a member of the board of governors and her children had attended the school. I had no chance.

I'm good thanks flower. Off into Manchester this eve to meet my bestest girl chums, so some major body maintainance is called for. Eeeek. x

  16. Lazing is what weekends are for. The lder I get the more maintainence is required. I was a goth when I was a young 'un and had Lily Munster white stripes dyed into my hair. Now I spend seemingly ages dying out the natural ones that time has given me. lol

  17. No need to apologize Janet. You're just acknowledging your feelings that's all. My dad died 4 years ago, so I remember it all too well. And you're bound to feel very wobbly for a while. Not only do you have your own grief, but you worry about everyone else too. Photo's are hard, music too. I don't mean for this to sound daft, but they never leave you. You'll carry him round in your soul, and you'll see him in your kids.

I think that's a lovely thing to do for the funeral. We had my dads favourite tunes too.

Chin up lass. You are doing him proud. X

  18. How lovely. Before I gave up drinking Rioja was always my fave. Faustino V especially.Yum. I've just cut a a heap of salad stuff from the yarden and burnt a chicken. Man of many talents Mac, curry from scratch? You realise that as a pukka bloke you should have bought it from a nasty takeaway before passing out in an ashtray after 10 pints of Stella?? I thought that was the done thing.x

  19. Hope you have a great day. Best wishes, Coffin Nail (Lauren). XX

  20. My hair has been all different colours. But as I had my son when I was 23 I thought it best to tone it down a tad. A goth pushing a baby buggy is just so WRONG. I got my first grey hair when I was 20. I'd love to let it grow our to see how grey I am, but I'd probably look like a red neck's mule, so I think I'll to chocky colours as that was what it was originally. Your hair is really lovely, don't dye it till you have to. It's a right pain

  21. Good. Don't know how you'd feel about it, but I planted a tree for my dad. I can look at it and remember. Always here if you need an ear x

  22. That'll get you to your local A&E pretty quickly I'd have thought.

Don't you dare 'Man-up'. As a lass that's surrounded on a daily basis by hairy arsed builders clamouring for food, the breath of fresh air is much appreciated.

  23. lol. I had a lecturer at uni with long grey hair and it really suied her, she was a bit hippie and witchy tho, I think men look good with a bit of distinguished grey, especially if its peppered. Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend, I'm off to wrestle with the tweezers....Hate tweezing it makes me sneeze. But its either that or looking like a Gallagher brother, and there are limits. X

  24. How's the book coming along. Didn't see you on the Booker Prize list, you must be holding out for next year. Hope all's well in your world.
