  1. I've only ever read one Dean Koontz book 'Life Expectancy'. I found it really hard to care about any of the characters. Do you think this is typical of his books or did I just choose a bad egg?
  2. IT is a really interesting novel. I always think it's more like a trilogy within one book. There are definite moments when you think --- OK this is now a new arc to the story. The ending was not what I was expecting at all, but well worth sticking with it.
  3. What was Duma Key like? I've read quite a few of King's books recently, just started Under the Dome, so wondering what Duma Key is like.
  4. Buy no more than 4 new books a month. All other books must be borrowed either from friends or library, swapped or received as gifts! That way some of my reading will be recommended by someone other than Amazon. I get so lazy with the 'If you liked this, you might like this' thing that I've found the variety of what I read has reduced significantly. I went to the library last week and they actually have a great range and it's free! What an awesome hobby. Other than that I would like to read some non-fiction this year (last year the only non-fiction I read was about OJ Simpson and even then I'm not sure how factual it was).
  5. A sad day for reading for me today. Grabbed 10 minutes in my lunch break to read a few pages of 'Let the Right One In' (currently reading lots of vampire novels)
  6. I always thought that Silence of the Lambs worked better as a film than a book. I saw the film when I was quite young and impressionable and read the book at a much later date so maybe that has something to do with it. Dare I say Where the Wild Things Are?! The film was awesome but the book (obviously) was a teeny tiny picture book, so I got way more from the film than the book:lol:
