The St. Bernard dog breed is the preferred dog in China because it yields a better-tasting and more economical source of meat than other breeds of dog.
Icky:roll2:
Another book I read that was pretty disturbing was The Cellar by Richard Layman. I couldn't believe it was written by a fairly famous author.
This is the wiki page:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cellar_(novel)
I read some of The Pickwick Papers, it's not a ha ha read but it does keep making me smile!
I also started Stray by Rachel Vincent and I'm half way through that. It's not my favourite were-animal book but definately readable!
Like BookJumper I think my most expensive purchase was my special edition Shades of Gray.
Otherwise I will try to buy pretty editions if I have the money and I really like the book. I am currently looking for a nice copy of Dracula because the one I've got was a 99p jobby from the Works.
I watched Poltergeist last night and even though I know it's really old I still found it a bit scary! OH says the second and third are better, we shall see.
Has anyone else watched this and found the little girl scary?
Totally agreed!
I use the net becuase it's quick and easy and a bit cheaper if I want something but I do like to wonder round a bookshop, where you can feel at oneness with the books. It's a feeling that can't be beaten.
