Hello and welcome!!
-
It's hard to say what with factors like how big is it, how much to I love it and is it part of a series. However I can read anything from 4 to 10 books a month.

Currently the best of Fleetwood Mac

I have read some fantasy but not the ye olde knights of yore kind apart from Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones and I absolutely love both so I will be looking into reading more.

I do feel pressured when I look at an entire 6 foot bookcase of TBR and I am trying to reduce it. At it's worst it was 134 and I've managed to get it down to 113. I have a pact with myself that for every 2 I read I can buy one, I don't always manage it but I'm trying!

Hello and welcome!

I think I will be buying this when it comes out especially if I can get it cheaper on Amazon. I don't know if it's something I would normally read but I'll give it a try because it's Rowling.

I have read the first Hunger Games book and enjoyed it so much I started the second book strait away.
-
I know I said I was going to wait to get these but OH heard me mention them and got me the first one from Tesco today so I will be starting this soon!

Hello and Welcome!

I would say the best one to get you started would be Mort. I think Pratchett really got into his stride when he wrote this one and I think as a beginner book it would be most likely to get you into the series.

Have now finished Fatherland and really enjoyed it! I will be adding more of his to my wishlist!
Have now started on Lord and Ladies by Terry Pratchett as part of my re read.
-
Nearly finished Fatherland by Robert Harris which I'm really enjoying.

I often write a word...look at it....rewrite it....then ask someone else how to spell it only to be told I was right the first time!
I've never heard of the word redact either so for anyone who wants to know-
re·dact/riˈdakt/
Verb:
- Edit (text) for publication.
- Censor or obscure (part of a text) for legal or security purposes.
- Edit (text) for publication.

I'm really should I/shouldn't I about these books. They sound like something I would enjoy - I'll read Mills & Boon when the mood takes me and they're not exactly high literature. I think I might wait till I can get them from a charity shop though just in case.

Just finished watching the football.

I buy most of my books either from second hand shops, Amazon or discount bookshops like The Works. There aren't many independent book shops convenient for me so I can't buy from them. When I go to Waterstones I always come away disappointed because they rarely have the book that I want where as W H Smith usually does.
I can read anything from 4-10 books a month so I have to be aware of money constraints so while I appreciate that Amazon and Play are avoiding paying taxes until I get reasonably priced independents in my area I will continue to use them.

I have been reading through all of Terry Pratchett's Discworld in order and read Eric today. I was amazed to find that I have never actually read it before!
Hey there.
