  4. In this thread I will keep a record of all books read and all books acquired in 2010. If I can muster the energy, I may also list my TBRs. Fiction Non-Fiction I would like to aim to read one non-fiction book a month.
  5. I think takeaway pizza will be a must tonight
  6. Oh, excellent. I hadn't thought to look whether she had any other books out/coming out. The Swan Thieves looks very good, thanks for the heads up!
  7. For some reason I'm always quite baffled at how Philip Glenister is really quite shy in real life- I think I expected him to be like Gene Hunt all the time Still, it's a sign of some good acting on his part! I don't think I even realised there was a US remake. I don't think I'll be rushing to check that out.
  8. I've only just seen this. I don't think it was those ones I was thinking of, they do sound good though! In fact I think more books should adopt that style
  9. Aye, it is quite an intense read!
  10. I like the sound of that! I'm about 400 pages into The Historian and I'm loving it.
  11. Springwatch Christmas Special
  12. I had battered cod, mash and peas.
  13. And when she has her cataracts done and then goes round telling everyone who will listen about it but always says afterward '..but I don't like to say anything' There are so many brilliant Nana moments, too many to mention!
  14. I know Nana was the best.
  15. The Royle Family: The Queen of Sheba. I love this episode.
  16. Granted, but now you can never slow down. I wish time didn't fly by so quickly.
  17. Thanks guys That sounds painful, BookJumper. Treatment can end up really expensive can't it? That pasta actually sounds rather tasty I had tomato soup for lunch so may just brave jacket potato tonight.
  18. I imagine I'll be having soup tonight as during my first mouthful of last night's dinner (cheese and beans on toast) a big bit of tooth broke off Luckily it doesn't hurt, just feels weird and a bit gummy... I have the dentists tomorrow but in the meantime I'll be on liquid foods for fear of aggravating it :friends0:
  19. Hey, Shabby Welcome!
  20. I thought Christoph Waltz made the film, he was awesome as Colonel Landa. I started to watch that new Star Trek film last night but had to abandon it about halfway through because I was so terrifically bored. I had a funny feeling I wasn't going to enjoy it but OH got it on BluRay for Christmas so thought I'd better give it a try.
  21. Three Men and a Baby.
  22. I love mince. Usually raw meat makes me a bit squeamish, but not mince. I could handle that stuff till the cows come home (sorry). Not that I would. I'm not sure what's for dinner but I can smell sausage rolls being made. I guess I'll have to sample some of them
  23. Those are some great titles! I looked it up and the ones where you could choose the ending etc were called Give Yourself Goosebumps I wish I had kept more of my childhood books.
  24. I loved these books too. Were they the ones were you could choose from different options what happened next?
