I don't blame you! I mean, who could resist?! After seeing Up in the Air, I had a sudden urge to watch some more of his films.. Solely for his amazing acting of course!

I watched the interview again last night and didn't think Ricky was too bad! To be fair, he obviously has a great respect for Larry and his work and he seemed a bit in awe at the beginning. Yeah the new show is pretty much all about Karl's mental thoughts and then Ricky's mental laugh. Tis funny though! And you have to love a bit of the S'Merch.

I'm glad you're enjoying it! It is pretty epic, what with the front line action too. It's an amazing story and like you say his writing style is excellent. I've also read The Girl at the Lion D'or and Charlotte Gray by Faulks, both of which I loved too (but not quite as much as Birdsong!). Have you read any others of his?

I've not seen the Goats one yet, was gonna wait for the DVD as was a bit unsure about it. No she wasn't! I saw it coming when he was making his way to her's. Still, at least it didn't have a cheesy ending!

It was pretty good ta I was kind of thrown in at the deep end but I think that's a pretty good (albeit rather terrifying) method 'cause you have learn, and quickly! I'm also just enjoying having a job again and already counting down til payday
