  1. Patricia Cornwell used to be one of my favorite writers, until Point of Origin. Then I stopped liking the books, and after reading Blowfly I haven't read anything by her anymore. I was so dissapointed. I did buy her other books though, just because I like to have my series complete, although sometimes I wonder why I still bother .
  2. I have bought a copy of Kill for me today. I loved the other two parts in this series, so I couldn't wait to start this one.
  3. I finished Perfect, the third part in the Pretty Little Liars series by Sara Shepard yesterday. I needed some light reading this weekend. I was planning to start The Host by Stephenie Meyer today, but I bought a copy of Kill for me by Karen Rose, and accidentally started this first.
  4. How cool that you will hear the author speak about this book. I hope you'll enjoy it. I do have some mixed feelings about this book. I really had to get used to Matthew Reilly's writing style. I did read the book in the Dutch translation though, so that may have influenced it somewhat. At some times I got annoyed by the fast pace of this book. A room filled with deadly traps was crossed in seconds, but it did keep me interested though and overall it was a good read.
  5. I'm probably finishing Seven Deadly Wonders by Matthew Reilly today. Just in time, because I got word from my local library that The Host by Stephenie Meyer is waiting for me.
  6. Read it and thought it was just OK. But I haven't read the other three books yet, so things can still change
  7. I was very excited to learn Audrey Niffenegger finally had a new book out, but now I'm also dreading to be dissapointed (Same thing happened to me in the past with Donna Tartt's second book). I probably will wait until our library gets a copy (which unfortunately, because I am living in the Netherlands, probably will take ages) and give it a try then.

    Hello

Thank you all for the warm welcome.
  9. I have just started reading Seven Deadly Wonders by Matthew Reilly. I thought it would be something similar to the books by James Rollins and Dan Brown, but so far I'm afraid it is not nearly as well written.

    Hello

Hello, what a great place is this forum. I would love to join in. I am a 35 year old female, married and a mother of a lovely little boy living in the Netherlands. When I'm not juggling my work, my son and my studies (I'm currently training to be a Human Resourcers Consultant) I just love to read. It doesn't really matter to me what genre books I read, I love mostly everything. I look forward to meeting new people here, who share that same love. Bye for now.
