Hello and xx
-
Well Im halfway through The Book of Tomorrow - Cecilia Ahern and Im really enjoying it....the storyline is a serious one with a bit of what I would call tongue in cheek humour thrown into it
-
Trust me, it can - which is why I gave up on them. My bag is HUGE and I generally rumble around in it lots during the day, getting bits in and out and nothing stays in the bag the way I initially put it in
But I really like Ned's idea with the post it note - I can't believe I never thought of that! I shall do this from now on and see how I go with that. Thanks for the tip!
Are you related to Mary Poppins then
My latest book is a hardback and it has one of them silk bookmark things in it

I finished Jamaica Inn by Daphne Du Maurier on Saturday and really really enjoyed it. I am going to start Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris tomorrow. Can't wait
Ooooh enjoy Muggle

Hello Ned and :welcomeboard:xx

First single would have been "House of Fun" by Madness, on 7" vinyl, brought from Woolworths in the Bull Ring (the old one!) for 99p.
First Album was Human's Lib by Howard Jones. Can't remember how much, but around 4 quid.
Now I feel old!
Ian
Yes it was Sue ... thanks for pointing that out...I was however only a mere 11!
Ian please dont feel old.........House of Fun was around what 1982 if Im right in thinking.....I was 18
Charm.....you are but a mere baby in comparison to me

That is the trouble with this Forum SueB. Since I joined last year my book bill has shot up:blush: Lovely though innit.
Ive just had two books I ordered last week arrived...my pile is ever growing and I hold you lot responsible
-
OMG tell me about it and the thicker the book the smaller the print too my eyes arent really bad (although Im a spectacle wearer for many years) but some of the pages look like an ant crawled over them...not good for me
-
Oh my I wish you lot would stop putting booklists on here........I keep going and ordering some of them
Im still reading my Jodi Picoult book but should get that finished in next few days...
-
I buy most of my books from Play.com and no one can get your details unless they have your log in and password details.
Online bookshopping is a weakness of mine

Not like I can run fast is it? I've just spoken to my sister and she says the first record I bought was actually a Toyah single which I then promptly gave to her as a Christmas present one year
Not like I can chase ya either is it sis we make a right pair eh
-
Those were the days Sue - I wasn't far behind you.I shan't say I was only 7 then *runs away fast*
Those were the days you could actually dance to the music and you actually understood what they were singing about Judy
As for you Lady Scarlett.......pushing and your luck springs to mind right now :irked:
-
The first record I bought was Money Money Money by Abba along with Cars by Gary Numan, both 7" singles. I remember playing them over and over again on my Dad's record player, if you kept the arm up they just kept repeating
Now I feel old
Wasnt Cars by Gary Numan 1979???
OMG I were 16 then
-
Looks like we were buying our first records around the same time - mine was Ever Fallen in Love by Buzzcocks
Think mine was earlier around 1971 I think........

They have reported no suspision surrounding his death......there will be the normal post mortem to establish cause of death but we were saying it sounds like sudden adult death syndrome.
