Thanks to all for the warm welcome.

Dimitra - I'm a big film nut and pretty much all the books i read when I started reading more seriously were adapted into film. My reading list has evolved alot but I am still fascinated by novel to film adaptations. Red Dragon is one of my favourite books but I hate the film by the same name. Michael Mann's adaptation of the same book, a film called Manhunter, is a far better attempt even though it leaves out an awful lot.

Rawr - Fight Club is one of those books I can read again and again, I'd even go as far as to say I enjoy it more than the film.

BookJumper - The stars my destination is one of the best books I have ever read. It is exceptionally well written and even though it was published in the 50's it hasn't dated at all. It's kind of like a SF version of the mel gibson film Payback, though this doesn't really do it justice.
