  2. The king blues are great i saw them support rise against in March. I'm glad they are starting to get radio play as they deserve it!
  3. This is my book to read next and i'm really looking forward to it.
  4. I go to Petersfield for books as they have quite a few charity shops which i've found some gems in. Also there is a great second hand bookshop in Alton, which i would recommend. Bearing in mind how many times i've been to Albert Road i can not believe i haven't seen this shop, i will be dragging the OH to Southsea soon!
  5. I'm british.. Born in Hampshire (small town near Portsmouth) and still here, though i would like to move to Montreal one day.
  6. One of my favourites is SR-71 - i don't think they ever did very well in the UK, one of their songs is in the film Loser. And Apoptygma Berzerk - An EBM group from Norway.
  7. Ahhhh one of my favourite bands! You know he's playing London soon? I think its in October??
  8. Bitten is in my list of TBR put i know i'm going to read it and then want to read the rest of the series
  9. Hope you enjoy Twilight sweetiipie. The Take by Martina Cole is a great book, if you like it i recommend faceless by her as well. A prayer for Owen Meany sounds really good so have just added to my wishlist.
  10. Welcome to the forum Prue!
  11. So i just counted... i've got 65 on my TBR pile. I have an agreement with the OH for every video game he buys i can buy 4 books new or roughly 10 secondhand.. its a good deal for me!
  12. I've reread Shadow of the Wind, Coma and the HP books at least twice. Like everyone else has said i like to reread them as you miss things, i also like to read them again after seeing the film. One thing that is odd is i loved the beach by Alex Garland (i'd even go so far as to say one of my favourites) but i can't reread it... everytime i try i get distracted and end up putting it down again. Does this happen to anyone else or just me??
  13. I've had Behaviour of Moths on my wishlist for ages but keep putting off buying it for some reason, think i will go and order it now! Thanks Janet
  14. Having to read most labels in the supermarket to make sure the product doesn't have orange in it (allergic).. and then getting caught out by Morrison's who put it in vegetable soup!! Bad drivers and people who ask me to take them to my work so they can star spot.
  15. At the moment they are arranged by genre, size and how much i liked them. I do regularly change the order though (it's a good stress reliever!)
  16. My 5 are (in no particular order): 1) Looking for Alaska - John Green 2) Shadow of the Wind - Carlos Ruiz Zafon 3) Lost Souls - Poppy Z Brite 4) The Beach - Alex Garland 5) Girlfriend in a coma - Douglas Coupland
  17. Hi everyone. I'm obviously new here and wanted to do a quick introduction, i'm 25 years old and obviously an avid reader. I will read most things that are suggested to me and i am a big fan of YA fiction.
