I climbed in 1991 and it was the best experience of my life. Far easier than I had expected. Not to say it was easy, far from it, but the climb was more or less problem free. The irony was that three weeks later I slipped on some small wet rocks near my farm back in England and broke my ankle

I thought it was a vastly overrated book. Stradlater was a far more interesting character than Caulfield.
