Currently reading Eyes Like Stars - Lisa Mantchev 5/5 Blurb from FF - All her world's a stage. Bertie Shakespeare Smith is not an actress, yet she lives in a theatre. She's not an orphan, but she has no parents. She knows every part, but she has no lines of her own. That is, until now. Enter Stage Right NATE. Dashing pirate. Will do anything to protect Bertie. COBWEB, MOTH, MUSTARD SEED, and PEASEBLOSSOM. Four tiny and incredibly annoying fairies. BERTIE'S sidekicks. Ariel. Seductive air spirit and Bertie's weakness. The symbol of impending doom. Bertie. Our heroine. Welcome to the Theatre Illuminata, where the actors of every play ever written can be found behind the curtain. They were born to play their parts, and are bound to the Theatre by The Book - an ancient and magical tome of scripts. Bertie is not one of them, but they are her family - and she is about to lose them all and the only home she has ever known. Not much to say except I love this! It's an original idea with some quirky ideas - I love the occasional passage written as a script rather than prose. The writing sometimes seems a bit simplistic but it is YA. Bertie is a fantastic character, even down to her blue hair and is the star of the show so to speak. We start out with Bertie narrowly averting yet another disaster and being asked to leave the theatre where she has spent her entire life. In order for her to stay she needs to come up with something that proves she is vital to the existence of the theatre. Throw in two love interests - Nate the pirate and Ariel the tempremental element - mayhem & destruction with the fairies, my favourite characters throughout the book, some very bad ideas, Mrs Edith the wardrobe mistress and a very bad situation involving The Book (basically the essence of the theatre) and you have a great story. I've already pre-ordered the next book, Perchance To Dream, which comes out in May Giulia, buy this immediately!!!!!

Dead As A Doornail - Charlaine Harris 4/5 Blurb from FF "When Sookie's brother Jason's eyes start to change, she knows he's about to turn into a were-panther for the first time. But her concern becomes cold fear when a sniper sets his deadly sights on the local changeling population-and Jason's new panther brethren suspect he may be the shooter. Now, Sookie has until the next full moon to find out who's behind the attacks, unless the killer decides to find her first." Book 5 in the Sookie Stackhouse series and I love, love, love them all so far! Not sure whether I'm a Bill fan or an Eric fan though but that's probably the influence of the tv show Not a fan of Alcide, Calvin seems okay (so far), liked the appearance of Quinn and I'm still really hoping that she doesn't ever end up with Sam Looking forward to book no. 6!

Exactly I thought they were joking when they said that chap was the impersonator!
 -
No!!! He's not! They got a look-a-like in and had to watch videos
 -
I'm watching them try to sculpt clay into Lionel Ritchie's head whilst wearing blindfolds now

	:) Because he's a ************** - insert whatever word you find appropriate

And when she said "Shall I pretend the laughing & crying is actually me upset?" - BB's answer was "You're an actress Stephanie"
 -
I loved that bit! I thought it was hysterical when she went to the diary room to tell BB that she didn't mean to break it - she was crying with laughter by that point
 -
It was mean and it made me laugh that although they were all a bit narked about having to do it, they couldn't stop laughing

All the housemates are present at one point in the proceedings Oh and there's a brilliant situation involving Ivana...

No-one's out yet Frankie Word of warning - you get to see Alex almost completely naked except for a towel covering the front!!!!! And that situation involves Jonas

Well, between 2002 and 2008 I never paid to reserve books at all and I used to get up to 30 or so books a month as I used my ex-OH's library card too. That's typical though, as soon as I move away they fix up the central library A good place to get books is the Oxfam bookshop in York hospital, I used to get some amazing bargains in there! I also used to like the Little Apple bookshop in High Petergate
 -
That's the one thing I miss about York, I couldn't believe it the first time I used the library down here and they asked for
 -
I'm going to stop getting books from my library - they now charge 80p per book if you reserve online and

I've just read Kindred In Death & Missing In Death (from The Lost) and I have Fantasy In Death in the TBR pile next to me. I got addicted to these books when I was in hospital a few years ago, they're my "guilty pleasure" reading
 -
It wouldn't surprise me if that happened! And of course, once all the films are out they'll no doubt do some sort of limited box set - in fact, they'll probably do a box set of just Twilight & New Moon
 -
http://www.twilightlexicon.com/2010/01/26/twilight-in-forks-update-a-whole-new-dvd/ I know I'm a fan but is this whole "lets make lots of money out of Twilight" thing starting to go a bit far? There's uproar as apparently this was meant to be included on the actual New Moon dvd, instead they're selling it separately
