I'm guessing you are all talking about Fortey's Natural History Museum book?
If so, get it, tis brilliant!
Well, I know I was!
Have you read any of his other books? We have a few of them, including Life, An Unauthorised Biography and Trilobite! Eyewitness to Evolution.

In The Bourne Identity, Jason is fighting with the assassin in the Paris appartment, and he attacks him with a biro, which ends up embedded in the assassins hand. When he pulls it out later on in the fight, my stomach flips. How can I cope with knives, guns, fists, but a biro freaks me out? Euwww.

btw what is the meaning of the crack at the end...I know about the crack in the wall from the first ep. I guess it's eluding to the big bad of this season?
I think it's meant to be a little snippet for regular eagle-eyed viewers to pick up and will build to the finale of the series, like Bad Wolf in the first new series, Torchwood in series two, etc.
So far,
the crack has appeared on Amy's wall and on the scanner on the TARDIS in episode one, and the side of Spaceship UK in episode two. I think there's also been a couple of mentions of "Silence is coming" or something similar?

Read some more of No Way To Say Goodbye today, and although I had guessed at some of the things that would happen, I'm pretty sure that it's not going to stay that way for long, and Ms McPartlin will be throwing me some curve balls soon

I bought it for OH for Christmas, so once he's read it, I think it will be sneaking its way onto my TBR shelf

Guilty Pleasures (Anita Blake Vampire Hunter) by Laurell K Hamilton - I really enjoyed this. I think the character of Anita will need a bit of getting used to but an entertaining read where vampires are mainstream and zombies are raised on a regular basis (these zombies I can handle ... just about
). 9/10
I've put a reservation in at the library for this one, so can't wait for it to arrive now!

It was a rainy afternoon in South Kerry - driving rain reminiscent of the opening credits of a Hollywood action or end-of-the-world movie, when, if given to fantasy, one might have expected a muscular, sinewy and scantily dressed male to power through the deluge with a damp and distressed girl in his arms and a gun in his back pocket.

Finished No Way To Say Goodbye during my lunch break, but had to fight back the tears at one point! Not sure what I'll be reading next ... don't know whether to finish one of the two books I started earlier in the year and put down, or try something new.
