Petrolhead here too - the more extreme the better. I been to Santa Pod (http://www.santapod.co.uk/) a few times and would thoroughly recommend it. Not into football but I have been to one game (Man U vs Barcelona in a semi final for something or other) and it was quite an experience. A colleague in our Manchester office invited me along thinking it'd be cool to say my first and only game was... Kind of loses it's impact when I can't remember what it was for

I don't really pay special attention to looking after my books and I find it strangely relaxing settling down with a well thumbed book. I've even got a couple that will automatically open to a favorite scene if laid down flat If it's not mine I'll treat it with kid gloves. I sometimes swap books with a friend who is the complete opposite - I once had to buy a replacement for a book he'd read twice and he didn't notice the swap. I don't know how he reads the text close to the spine when his thumbs are only 2 inches apart!

Thanks for the welcome folks Since you've all been so kind I feel I have to admit to a little heresy - I'm addicted to audio books too Is there help available or do I just get excommunicated? If the latter, do I have time to finish raiding the forums for good reads
