  1. Not the worst adaptation but I think Apocalypse Now is an amazing adaptation of Heart of Darkness. The way they completely changed the setting and the era but managed to recreate the same atmosphere etc was amazing

    Hello

Hello my name is Feidhlim (pronounced phelim) and I'm a law student. I'm 20 years old and I'm an avid reader. I read pretty much anything I can get my hands on but I prefer to try and read stuff by Irish authors. I think James Plunkett's novels are unbelievable and would recommend them to everyone, definitely my favourite author
  4. James Patterson novels because I think the man is an idiot. I read The Jester and part of Three Blind Mice (I couldn't finish it) and his novels are trashy and annoying
  5. I don't read many autobiographies but I read Christopher Lee's recently and didn't think too much of it. There was so much material in it about golf whihc was just tedious.
  6. I sometimes have two books on the go at once usually one fiction and one non-fiction. But I can definitely start one book straight after the other. If a book is really intense and I really enjoyed it I may wait a short period but never too long
  7. I always found something slightly wrong with Cathcer in the Rye I enjoyed it but something about Haulden Caufield annoyed me and I just can't say I think it deserves all the credit it gets but it is still rather good.
  8. Erm, to who ever edited my last post the author's name is actually Innogen no Imogen. It's clearly stated on the book as "Innogen". Could you edit it back I'm not sure how to edit my own posts.
  9. So I've been reading this book The Valkyrie by Innogen Burden. It's not a great book but it's not bad. I had bought it thinking it was about The Valkyrie conspiracy to assassinate Hitler but it is in fact about spies in West Germany during the Cold War. The thing is I can't find any information on this Innogen Burden person and I usually like to read up on the authors of books I read but I can find no information on him on the net. Does anyone know anything about him or know of any other books he has written?
