  1. No....but I'm guessing it's related to something we did
  2. I have heard that it has been confirmed, yes, but I don't recall it actually being in development. It's been a while since I looked up the news on it though.
  3. stupid character rule...
  4. Even more annoying than that is when they then don't reply coz you'd been asleep - it's like, you just woke me up, MAKE IT WORTH MY WHILE YOU
  5. Nobody would do that ANYWAY - 'don't do anything reckless.' 'Okay, I'll just lie down here in the woods you specifically warned me not to wander into time and time again.' Having said that, the effects are amazing. I also think the will translate very well to the big screen but I think it will create a neat little microcosm within the movie itself to make it self-contained - all the characters have a history, but even without ever seeing the original movie, there's this story there that starts, develops, and finishes within the one movie.
  6. Well see, I actually love the characters, including Jake, in the movie way more than the book. As such while I hated New Moon (book) as it was like Edward Jake Jake Jake Jake Jake Edward Edward in constitution, (and I hated book Jake) I suspect I may well enjoy this movie more. Although, I have a feeling some bits of Meyer's god awful writing just won't translate well to the big screen. For example, in the extended trailer
  7. And then we can all sit around discussing how badly the movie does at trying to adapt the books, and yet how it still manages to be better than the book.
  8. I want to re-read New Moon before the movie comes out, so I'm re-finishing Twilight (which I started re-reading weeks ago) and then I'll read New Moon again.
  9. Oooh I like the idea of this thread. Unfortunately I can't contribute as I've been trying to think of anything Christmassy at all myself. However I may steal other people's suggestions!
  10. Just a quick message to inform you that your post broke a couple of the rules you're supposed to have read upon signing up - namely posting promotional posts outside the promotional forum and trying to get around the required 10 post count to post links.

Your thread has been moved and the link removed for now, pending Admin review.

  11. People who text you at 3am to say 'are you awake?' thereby waking you up. It's now 5am, I have had exactly 2 hours sleep, and I'm doing a 4.5 hour bus journey today before going to a 3 hour gig. I'm very, very tempted to text my mate now and say, 'are YOU awake? lololol.'
  12. Poor Michelle I hate dentists too - when I was a child, one was giving me an injection in the roof my my mouth and apparently hit something called the optic nerve? Optics are to do with eyes, but either way it was incredibly painful and i practically leapt out of the chair. I was only about 8 and utterly traumatised after the experience
  13. She has no sense full stop.
  14. I wish I could watch it, but the chances of my hotel room having Channel 4 are very low!
  15. People who spend every penny they have stupidly. My mate who is going to Dublin with me doesn't get paid til Friday, and has very little money going up tomorrow. In fact, after her bus fair, she will have €18 left to feed herself from this afternoon until friday morning. As a result, I am paying all €120 for the hotel, cash, out of my money, tomorrow. I'm doing this as a favour to her as she will pay me back on Friday. What does she say to me this morning? 'Can we go to Claire's Accessories today, I want to buy something.' How about NO? How about you either give me whatever it is you can apparently spare so I'm not chalking out €120 for the hotel, or more sensibily, how about you spend it on keeping yourself fed for the next 36 hours?
  16. I hate people being in my house. I know that sounds weird, but I like my space. From Thursday to Saturday I'm going to be with my best mate 24/7 - having no time alone, which is going to be difficult enough. Now due to her good for nothing boyfriend not telling her he won't be around tomorrow, she has to come to my house from 2pm to 10pm. Tomorrow was supposed to be a quiet relaxation day once I'd finished cleaning the house and doing various bits online. Now I'm going to have to get up extra early to clean everything as I don't want her to see it, and I'm going to have to find some way to amuse her for 8 hours. I'm so annoyed!!
  17. Granted, but when you go in on Thursday they fire you for not turning up tomorrow. I wish all my books were leatherbound like my Picture Of Dorian Gray.
  18. Granted but when you go to get the book, you find your entire library has been stolen I wish that I'll get a photo with Tim Minchin on Thursday night! (who dares cross me on this one?! )
  19. Hahaha! I dunno, I always liked him as a person but that was basically it. Now my mum, that's whole other story. Dirty Dancing is her all time favourite movie ever in the history of anything. She LOVES dancing, and as a result she adored Patrick. Twas quite funny at times, anytime any scenes or music from Dirty Dancing came on the tv she'd hop up and start dancing round the room.
  20. Road House was brilliant! First movie I saw him in. Although he's totally outclassed (character wise) by Wade Garrett, who I was swooning over when I was about 13 and he was already grey
  21. You know, I never found him to be that attractive. He was an intense man when he was acting, and that was an attractive quality, but I didn't think he was particularly good looking. I did like that he could be both a tough guy and a dancer though, he did that combination better than John Travolta does.
  22. Granted but it rains so heavily your roof leaks and you get wet for nothing. I wish my bus route home from town was open, so I didn't have to walk home
  23. No it's alright, it's just I don't want to start a trend of R.I.P threads My favourite movie by Patrick I think is actually Road House, I'm not keen on Dirty Dancing even though I love the end sequence, and Ghost is superb but still a little too mushy for my liking. In Road House he's this awesome tough guy who seems really cool until Wade Garrett (Sam Elliott) comes along and completely blows him out of the water with coolness I also think it's pretty awesome that he continued to work on The Beast after he was diagnosed last year, and wouldn't take painkillers while filming as he said they'd take the edge off his performance. So what's everyone else's favourite movie, and why?
  24. His death has already been posted about, it's the sort of thing we put in the 'In The News' thread. I know it's a terrible shame but if we started posting threads everytime someone famous we loved died this place would rapidly turn into an obituaries site This thread is to discuss our favourite things about him, his best movies/shows etc and to generally gossip like fangirls (and guys ) If anyone just wants to add R.I.Ps, please go here. Any R.I.P posts will be moved there (it's just to keep the forum tidy is all.) Thanks all!
  25. We generally keep news stories like this to the 'In The News' thread I'm gutted as well though. BBC report here
