  1. You can keep your sparkly beings in this weather, it's too cold!! This thread is SO off topic.
  2. No it's pretty new, I guess it's just the isolation. I don't have anyone nearby. I have my water bottle but it's going cold and I can't be bothered refilling it. I'm warm anyway. I'm gonna try to sleep now, so in case I succeed, I'll talk to you tomorrow at some point :D

  3. No, I just don't like being in this house alone so I can't sleep. And I don't feel great.

  4. I can't sleep, that's the problem. It's not like I'm choosing to be awake, I just can't sleep. >_>

  5. Sorry I only saw your message now!

I'm still awake. Surprise surprise. This house freaks me out when I'm in it alone.

  6. Single twenty-something extroverts with glasses and a high I.Q for me please. I don't ask for much do I?
  7. Just finished watching Harvey - fantastic movie!
  8. I did get it purely on the basis that Jim was in it, I love him
  9. Communal grooming?! I'm so there! Oh.... you want to read books, too? ...and Salem? Oh I suppose we could do those things... if we must.... ( )
  10. Haha okay. I hope you enjoy it.
  11. I did very well last night, 55 pages of Black Sun Rising and 83 pages of my book about Oscar Wilde. Unfortunately since I had to go to Cork today, I couldn't get any reading done. I have books here but when I have two on the go, I'd rather not start another.
  12. I'm glad to hear it, that's reassuring! I've actually not put it on yet, I must refill my hot water bottle and finish catching up with threads on here before I go.
  13. This thread cracks me up My mother (who is 5'1 and petite) is called The ____ Pixie, according to whatever she happens to be doing. Making tea - she's the Tea Pixie. Wearing lots of purple, she's the Purple Pixie. I think when I catch her tidying the house I'll have to call her The Archive Pixie Thanks Kell and Archive Pixie, a tidy forum is a happy forum.
  14. 'Harvey', a James Stewart film I haven't seen before
  15. I just had a sandwich I picked up on my way to Cork, didn't feel well enough to eat that when I got here let alone cook anything.
  16. Will do!
  17. It's okay! I was just going at the thought that you'd read it and forgot to report back
  18. The Swan Thieves is the only one popping into my mind, but there are probably more.
  19. Okay, scratch what I said. That artwork is insanely awesome. I'm buying all three books. That is EXACTLY the kind of dark, morbid, and including the gallery art, occasionally perverse art I love. Fantastic stuff. They WILL be my next purchases. ETA: I notice on the website Holly Black praises The Child Thief - she's not much of an author herself, but I love the style of her books (morbid fairytales) so much that I love them irrespective of poor writing. So that's another promising sign.
  20. Yeah they're all a bit dodgy except the two young 'uns, the obviously classically trained ones. One of whom is also a sparkly douchebag in Volterra But I like the dodginess, it fits it with the sort of cartoon-y nature of Tim Burton's work.
  21. Oh the Joanna Reprise/Medley is superb! I take no notice of all the killing, I'm too busy listening to Johnny! That's my favourite song too, other than 'My Friends' which I think Johnny just sings really well.
  22. I'm more into novels so I'm going to start with The Child Thief, and if the author's style catches my interest that will be enough to make me like the graphic novels.
  23. Sweeney Todd! It's on in HD on Anytime so I've just stuck it on as background noise. Love this movie though
  24. I read another sixty pages last night, I'm still not doing as well as I'd like, but I'm hoping to read 100+ today.
  25. Eeee thank you
