  1. In the spirit of earlier conversation in the chocolate thread, I'm about to eat *~*A TRIPLE CHOC MUFFIN!!*~*
  2. You have me sold, anyway. I've always wanted to read books based on Arthurian legend and have never done so because I don't know where to start.
  3. LOL Tom, that was HILARIOUS! You seriously have me in stitches today
  4. Triple dark/milk/white chocolate muffin for me please.
  5. MMM BOP! BOP BOP DO BOP, DO BE DOP BOP BOP DOOOOO BOP! That's accurate 'n all. I'm listening to 'Rock & Roll Kids', dunno who sings it but it was an Irish Eurovision winner back when Ireland won every second year or so. (I.e when it was still good )
  6. On that note of pretty ebay books, I was outbid by significantly substantial quantities of money which, if I had in my possession, I might use to take a short holiday to Paris. Better luck next time!
  7. I used to love cycling when I was a kid. My two favourite localized modes of transportation were bikes and skateboards. I would probably still love both if I was able A) to stay upright and not more unfit than a really really REALLY unfit person.
  8. I think I'm about to have large quantities of peach & mango juice, chicken on brown bread, strawberry Nutri-Grains and a double choc mocha. I'm hungry and can't decide what I want.
  9. According to Amazon, their Wordsworth editions are over 900 pages....most paperback editons seem to be 900-1000 pages.
  10. I like cheap chocolate. Less coco more sugar. Anything proper isn't as nice to me.
  11. Your Count is only 700 pages long? Is it abridged? I have a hardback with tiny writing that's over 1200 pages long....
  12. Eugghh hate Lindt chocolate. Love other chocolate though
  13. I've merged your post with the thread we have about Mo Hayder. If you use the 'search' function at the top of the page you can search for an author's name to see if there are any existing threads
  14. I read another 160 pages of Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, so I'm at page 701 and the end is in sight! Well, kind of. Relatively speaking. 300 more to go.
  15. I don't care how many 1 stars a book has either. (The 'I won't read them' was referring to the reviews). I do like to see books split half and half though, Marmite books! Sucks when I hate them, but I love when I love them. I'm really articulate tonight aren't I?
  16. Prior to reading a book I WANT to read, I will look to see how many 5 stars and how many 1 stars there are, but I won't read them. If I'm trying to make up my mind about a book, or if I've just finished it, I'll read both 5 star and 1 star reviews to get both views. I never bother with 2, 3, or 4 stars. I only care if you REALLY love it or REALLY hate it
  17. If there is anything else in the offer - I didn't see anything else I had any interest in when I was in there, which is what led to the 3 Murakami things. I'll see anyway, either way I'm not that fussed. Rawr, ask him WHAT he liked about it. I'd love to know.
  18. Yeah I was thinking about it; it's not really like me to be so easily deterred. I like to give authors a fair chance, but I can't afford to be buying books I won't like. I'll see. In my local Waterstones, there is a '3 for 2' offer on all his books, and if I liked Norwegian Wood, I was going to pick up another three and get them for essentially 6 quid each, which is a nice deal on new books in WS. But then if I just bought 3 books I don't like.....
  19. Valentine's Day just got more awesome!
  20. I've heard that about it. What do you think of it?
  21. Books don't disturb or scare me as a general rule.
  22. Jack L - Ode To Ed Wood
  23. Jack L - Lazarus
