  1. my mojo is slowly coming back. Thank you Living Dead in Dallas!!
  2. I have yet to read Brave New World but 1984 and Farenheit 451 are AMAZING books:smile2: BNW is on my TBR list.
  3. My reading mojo has been on and off for a year. I've been picking up books and putting them right back down after only a few pages. Nothing is keeping my interest. Even when I am absolutely bored, I never "feel" like reading. It might have something to do with school and work and the stress caused from both but I really want my mojo back!! I am currently reading a book that I'm really enjoying but having a hard time just picking it up to read. I'm going nuts..taking 3+ months to read one book is upsetting. Can I have a cookie too?
  4. I try to avoid movie tie-in books. I hate seeing actors on the cover, instead of original artwork. However, I do own some movie tie-ins since they're always WAY cheaper.
  5. I definitely judge a book by its cover. If the cover doesn't appeal to me I have a hard time purchasing that book. Books will multiple publishing's, I chose the version with the cover I like best.
  6. The End of Alice by A.M. Homes was disturbing. It about a pedophile and his letter correspondence with a 19 year old girl who is interested in young boys. http://www.amazon.com/End-Alice-M-Homes/dp/0684827107
  7. I enjoy YA books! and im 21. haha. They're fun and a light read. Very addictive.
  8. I never feel sick reading in the car. I love it, it makes the travel time go by much faster.
  9. I prefer paperbacks. They're easier to hold and carry around than hardbacks. Hardbacks are a lot nicer looking though.
  10. I didn't know there was a World Book Day! haha Im at a hockey game that day. lol So i guess im not doing anything special for world book day.
  11. There are a few books i've given up on over the years and I do hope to one day pick them up. Im all about second chances! haha But if it sucks again, its dropped for good.
  12. I don't suffer from an illness but reading helps me get through tough times. When life gets a little too serious I like to escape into the life of someone else. It keeps me relaxed and a lot less stressed about things.
  13. 1984 George Orwell. I had to read it for school and I fell in love with it! A lot of my classmates hated it though. I can't understand why lol
  14. same here! Well..I sometimes hate doing it. What if the ending makes the book worth it? but I have no motivation to see if thats true.
  15. I dont really read magazines but the few times I do, I read Broken Pencil and Cosmo.
  16. I enjoyed the cd! The idea that a book has a soundtrack is just insanely awesome! haha I've been wanting to buy and read Slash but just haven't gotten around to it. Heard it was a good read. I haven't read Watch You Bleed, is it worth reading?
  17. I never noticed this message section. Thanks for the welcomes!

  18. I read Heroin Diaries and loved it! the content is intriguing. The world of drugs and rock and roll is not anything I can relate to but he described it painfully real in his journal entries. I felt like I was living his life. And to top it off, the book is just esthetically gorgeous! Glossy coloured pages, i loved it!
  19. I waiting to see Watchmen and the new Terminator movie. cannnt wait!
