  1. Its not a popular opinion but I am not liking Mario, I find his obsession with Ben creepy.

Mario does mention his crush on Ben quite a bit. Last night, he casually put his arm around Ben's shoulders (I couldn't see any need for it - like a "you're a good mate" hug or something - as they were talking to someone else) and Ben stepped away. Any girl who's been to a pub can tell you that's a blatant you're not my type move.

  2. I have a twitch. It's not something I'm conscious I'm doing sometimes and can be watching TV or sitting on the train and suddenly become aware that I'm doing it. I twitch my nose, I guess just like the woman in Bewitched, and then I'll blink a few times. Sometimes the need to do it is so great I can't ignore it.

My friend has picked up on this so whenever he wants to annoy me he'll rub his nose. It always sets me off.

  3. I quite like Josie - she's funny and has no airs or graces; the same goes for Mario. Govan and Rachel are going to turn into MAJOR b^tches I think. They've already started. Sunshine is annoying but I hate bitchiness far more than annoy (I spent 7 years in an all girls school!).

Does anyone else think Sunshine looks like Blossom?

  4. I've suffered horribly from migraines for years which really affected both my work and social life, making me very depressed about it. Last year, after a three day agony and vomiting-fest, I decided to be more pro-active rather than begging the doctor yet again for help.

My main trigger is stress, so I've taken steps to tackle that. I try not to get overwork and overwhelmed at work, which isn't always easy! As I hold the tension in my neck, I saw a chiropractor who would click my neck (I did worry my head would come off as she twisted and pulled but I was fine :D). I also go for massages when I've had a few stressy days at work and my neck and shoulders are like concrete.

I asked the doctors to put me on beta blockers too. I used to have lots of mini panicks, which would set my heart rate going and give me a migraine which I couldn't shift no matter how many drugs I took. The beta blockers have help stop those heads.

I kept a food diary for three months but couldn't find any trigger in my food, but Diet Coke is a cause. Grr as I used to love the stuff. Certain wines drunk on an empty stomach can trigger a mild one too. I'm assuming it's not a hangover as the meds won't shift it!

I always make sure I have a supply of triptains - either sumatriptain nasel sprays, which is a godsend as a vomiter, or imigram, which I buy over the counter at Boots if I run out.

I now take Fever Few too.

These little things have really helped. Although I'm not entirely free of them, the bad ones (with vomiting every hour, wanting to curl up and die) are rare. I still get mild migraines, but I can manage a day at work with them. I had six days of them in a row last week and I don't think I'll ever be free, but life could be so much worse so I can't complain.

I really sympathise with any other sufferer out there. It's not just a headache. It's agony. As I told my doctor, if I ever had a gun in my hand when I have one of my bad ones I'd put it to my head.

  5. Oh, the goth girl out of NCIS. I don't know her name but i think she is pretty hot :motz:

    She is!!

Probably not a weird crush as I know a few girls who like him but he's certainly not your "Brad Pitt" type... Kevin Spacey. I reckon his calm, cool exterior covers something naughty underneath.

  6. Sorry to hear your dad passed away, Univerze.

Generally, I don't think I have the patience (as well as the talent). The last recipe I tried was a curry sauce from a Jamie Oliver book. It said to put it in the oven for 2 hours. I think I left it in for 40 minutes. Plus, I get annoyed when my lamb dopiaza's taste nothing like my local curry house's (*drool*).

  7. Yeah I love Seven and Fight Club and if I recall correctly, I was enjoying Zodiac before that scene.

My brother can't get past the Seven scene of the fat man on the slab. He hates it.

I've never been able to finish watching Resevoir Dogs where Michael Madson cuts the man's ear off. I'd quite fancied him up till that point too. :irked:

  8. I'm a frustrated wannabee as well! However, I am married to a very good cook, and he loves cooking, so I dont have to worry about it too much.

That's what I need - a decent man who can cook and enjoys washing up afterwards :irked:

    Mmmm...Nigella....:D

Ha ha she is a bit of a yummy mummy and so much sexier than most of the twiglets out there. I'm a fan of curves on a woman.

  9. I would love to be a good cook but no matter how closely I follow recipes I am so disappointed with the results. Some meals I can't even finish eating, which is annoying if I've spent the best part of an afternoon cooking it.

Funnily enough, when I make up meals, such as throwing things into a risotto, they're not too bad. And I'm pertty good at the classics like a Sunday roast or a good pasta. But curries? I have to buy take away if I want a decent one.

Annoyingly, my friend can be given the most random items of food and cook up a tasty dish. Is cooking a talent, like being able to draw or write? Are you any good or, like me, are you frustrated wannabe?

  10. I really like it - much more than I expected too and have had some laugh out loud moments.

Can Christa Miller move her face? I remember seeing her in an episode of Scrubs thinking she must have got her lips done, but in Cougar Town she looks as if she can barely move her face. It looks a bit painful. I really like her character though.

  11. I didn't read the first post but just jumped to this last page wondering if I'd find any other users from Basingstoke.

At first I thought people had much more exciting lives than me until it finally dawned on me :friends0:

Anyway, I'm a young telepath finding my way through the supernatural world, spending some of my time with the sexiest vamp ever.

  12. I read a bit of True Blood (Definitely Dead) whilst waiting for the internet to start working again at work (I'd already tidied my desk and as a web editor there's nothing I can do without the internet). Although I picked up the next book in the series, it feels as if I've missed out on a story line. I'll have to investigate later...

  13. I love this programme too (having David Boreanaz in it doesn't hurt at all). I've not seen last night's episode yet but I did LOL at last week's when Hodgins whacked himself on the head with the martial arts thing.

  14. I tried to read The Other Queen a while back but found it hard going, which disappointed me as I went out and bought it straight after enjoying The Other Boleyn Girl. I'm going to try again once I have got through my current TBRs. I love Tudor England - it's so nice losing myself in another century.

  15. :) It's the spinning bow tie that does it

I think you can tell from the avatars that a few people agree with you

Lol and the throaty laugh :)

I'm really impressed with the good taste the ladies of this forum has. No one I know in real life finds him as yummy as me.

I have him on my desktop at work to gaze upon all day. Needless to say, he's a terrible distraction. But such a pretty one at the same time.

I do too. :D I removed the True Blood logo etc from theFX website's landing page picture of him. I also have dual monitors so I've got double the pleasure. Every morning when I boot up my laptop at him and I get to look at his deliciously evil face and swoon.

Apart from Eric, the other thing I like about True Blood (aside from the great story lines) is the amount of talent for the ladies. Usually, in a TV programme you'll get lots of pretty, slim women with the odd good looking bloke thrown in. If we're lucky. With True Blood you're guaranteed a cute guy in pratically every scene, along with some nice, naked butts.

I think my next job's definitely got to be the casting director for TB

  16. How lustful is Eric? Even in the book I want more of him. On screen - just strip him down and leave the camera on him. Has there been a more sexy character on TV? (I know Frank Butcher comes a close second!)

  17. I'm coming to the end of the first book in the True Blood series, which a friend bought for me. I quite liked the TV version and didn't think the books would be any better than marginal but I'm really enjoying it. The TV version isn't exactly the same as the book so I don't feel I'm watching it all over again, and although I know the ending of the first series, I can't wait to find out how the book ends.

  18. I saw Paranormal Activity over the weekend and loved it. It was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. There was a great build up and the actors were really good at creating some tension. Two bits that stood out for me were:

Mika going up into the attic. I hate going up into mine in the daylight with someone with me!

    and

when the thing started touching her and dragged her out of bed

I find the tension in films such as this and What Lies Beneath has me a lot more on edge than slasher films.

  19. One of the most moving books I've ever read was The Outsiders by S.E.Hinton - probably because I was a hormonal teenager! For a period of two weeks at least one girl in my GCSE English class would be in tears because she'd got to the part

    where Johnny dies

    .

Every now and then that scene pops into my head.
